Siemens has posted Rs 13 crore net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2014, against a net loss of Rs 49 crore logged in the same quarter last year.
Sales was marginally down at Rs 2,319 crore (Rs 2,588 crore). New orders registered were Rs 2,744 crore during the quarter compared with Rs 2,619 crore in the same quarter previous year.
Sunil Mathur, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Siemens Ltd, said, “Overall, the macro-economic situation is still challenging and concrete policy measures will take time to reflect in business.”
On Wednesday, the company scrip was trading 4.07 per cent lower at Rs 834 at 2.40 p.m. on the BSE.
