Siemens India, in collaboration with TUV Rheinland India, has set up a global skill centre for occupational safety in Mumbai.
The Bengaluru-based TUV Rheinland India is a subsidiary of TUV Rheinland Group, Germany, a leading global firm in testing, inspection, certification and training.
The centre has been specifically designed by Siemens and TUV Rheinland to provide practical training on the latest safety equipment and techniques, Rheinland said in a release here.
It is the first step towards the ‘Zero Harm Culture’ that enables individuals to work responsibly and run projects without accidents, the release said.
The centre will conduct certified training courses that develop ‘Safety Leaders’ in the project-based businesses and industries, the release said.
The target audience for the programme includes occupational safety practitioners, project/site managers, construction managers, construction site supervisors, safety marshals and site engineers, it said.
