Singareni Collieries Company Ltd has produced 23.13 tonnes in the first six months of the current fiscal despite heavy rains that lashed the region over the last two months.
It was seven per cent more than what it produced in the same period last year.
Coal supplies stood at 25.12 million tonnes, as against 23.2 mt in the year-ago period. Out of this, 79 per cent was supplied to the power sector.
Supplies to Andhra Pradesh’s generation utility APGENCO was 9.95 mt, as against 8.40 mt during the corresponding period last year.
