Singareni Collieries Company Limited is planning to recruit about 5,500 candidates in external/internal mode in various unskilled, technical, and executive cadres in the company to meet its expansion move.

This initiative to fill up vacancies has been taken by N.Sridhar, CMD, SCCL. These vacancies were postponed for various reasons from time to time.

Out of this, 2,164 external vacancies will be notified starting from February 10, 2015 for 1,127 posts for degree holders in mining, civil, and diploma holders in electrical, mechanical and will be followed up by notification for 771 persons in the category of fitter, electricians, welder, mine surveyor, junior assistants and 266 paramedical and other technical staff.

The tentative schedule of exams will start in April 2015 and be completed by end of June 2015.

The CMD directed company officials to make all the necessary preparations to complete the process by June 2015. The recruitment notifications can be viewed in www.scclmines.com .

About 2,744 dependent employees waiting up to March 2004 have been identified. Out of this, 753 persons have been given employment. All the balance 1,991 vacancies will be filled by August 2015.

In addition, the company is undertaking 564 internal recruitments as per the recruitment rules of the company covering junior assistants, welfare officers, engineers, scientific officers, etc.

SCCL has drawn up a recruitment plan for 5,500 posts aimed at meeting the production challenges of the company. The exercise is likely to be a boon to the youth waiting for employment in Telangana state.
