The 600 mw Unit 2 of Singareni Thermal Power Plant station, located at Jaipur village of Mancherial district in Telangana, has once again achieved 100 per cent plant load factor (PLF) in November.
This Unit has achieved 100 per cent PLF earlier in February and May.
In November, Unit-1 of 600 mw of the same plant achieved 80.54 per cent PLF. With this, both the units (1200 mw) of the State-owned Singareni Thermal Power Plant station achieved a PLF of 90 per cent.
During November, Unit-1 generated 347.93 million units of electricity and from the time of its operation, the Unit-1 has produced 5,531 Units of electricity.
The Unit-2 generated 432 million units of electricity in November and 4,973 million units of electricity since its inception.
Overall, a total of 10,504 million units of electricity has thus far been generated by Singareni Thermal Power Plant. Of this, 9,817 million units were utilised for State Electricity needs.
N. Sridhar, CMD, in a statement expressed happiness over the performance of the Unit -2 in the station and hoped both the units in the station should achieve 100 per cent PLF and contribute to the State's growing energy requirements.
