Skoda Auto India on Thursday launched new Rapid, available in both petrol and diesel versions, priced between Rs 7,22,230 and Rs 10,97,424 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).
The refreshed version of the sedan has new features such as Skoda Remote application to control the infotainment, new designed alloys, glossy black roof, cruise controls and parking sensors, the company said.
While the petrol variant remains the same, the diesel engine with new powertrain comes with an option of seven-speed automatic gears.
"Our focus is to bring new product portfolio and bring better service to the customers," Sudhir Rao, Chairman and Managing Director, Skoda Auto India, told reporters here.
The Rapid, along with the company's renewed focus on ownership experience, will form the cornerstone of Skoda Auto's future strategy, he added.
