Known for its best selling sedan, Octavia, Skoda Auto India on Thursday launched an all-new version of the model at prices starting from ₹15.49 lakh (ex-showroom, across India).
Available in petrol (1.4 litre and 1.8 litre options) and diesel (two-litre engine) options, the new Octavia is priced between ₹15.49 lakh and ₹20.89 lakh. The diesel variant is priced between ₹16.9 lakh and ₹22.89 lakh.
“The Octavia is the heart of the Skoda brand. Globally, it has sold over six-million units. In India, it has sold over 90,000 units since 2001 when the company entered the market with the model,” Ashutosh Dixit, Director- Sales, Service and Marketing, Skoda Auto India, said here at the launch. Dixit said the new car will further boost the company’s sales, which witnessed 15 per cent growth in the first half of this calendar year. The company sold 7,576 units in the last six months.The new Octavia has features such as hands-free parking, iBuzz driver fatigue alert and eight safety airbags.
