SML Isuzu Ltd, formerly known as Swaraj Mazda, has achieved profit of Rs 17.5 crore for the July-September quarter, up by 40 per cent, on a net revenue of Rs 248.6 crore against Rs 200 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal. Profit before taxes (PBT) was Rs 12.5 crore during the same period last fiscal year.
For the six months ending September 30, on a net revenue of Rs 487.6 crore (Rs 397.3 crore), PBT jumped to Rs 31.7 crores (Rs 19.7 crores), up by 61 per cent.
Volume growth, better per-vehicle sales realisation and control over costs have led to better financial performance, says the release from the company.
Unaudited financial Results were taken on record by the company's board of directors on September 30.
