IKEA, the world’s largest furniture retailer, which is in the process of setting up a 1,000-seater restaurant in Hyderabad, has selected Snowman Logistics as the logistics partner for its food business in India.
The agreement will involve Snowman Logistics, a subsidiary of Gateway Distriparks, managing the back-end of IKEA’s Hyderabad restaurant, as well as others planned in India.
The Swedish firm plans to set up eateries in 25 Indian cities, including Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.
“We are the largest food chain company in the world and we have a presence across the country,” said Sunil Nair, CEO of Snowman Logistics. “Further, our experience in providing back-end support to brands such as KFC, Subway, Domino’s Pizza and Café Coffee Day has helped us bag this contract.”
