Tiles maker Somany Ceramics is aiming to achieve revenue of Rs 1,250 crore in the next fiscal on the back of enhanced manufacturing capacities and new marketing initiatives.
“We are looking at a 25 per cent growth in revenues in next fiscal. This will take our top—line to Rs 1,250 crore approximately,” Somany Ceramics Joint Managing Director Abhishek Somany told PTI.
The company is looking at both organic and inorganic routes for expansion and is on look out for expansions in the next fiscal.
“We are looking for a few acquisitions in Gujarat to enhance our capacity further. The acquisitions could be in wall tiles or floor tiles segment. We are very aggressively looking for multiple acquisitions,” he added.
Besides acquisitions, the firm is looking to grow volumes through increase in contract manufacturing, enhanced capacity and value addition to its plants.
“Our main drivers of growth in the next fiscal would be enhanced sales of value added products,” Somany said.
On the marketing front, the company plans to increase the number of its exclusive showrooms in the next fiscal and said it will strive to tap the tier II towns .
“We will double the number of our showrooms to 140. The biggest drivers will be tier II towns,” he added.
The firm also plans to increase its dealer strength from 1,400 to up to 1,600 in the coming years and is looking for a 50 per cent hike in revenues generated by its sanitary ware and bathroom fittings division.
At present the company has a capacity to produce up to 34 million sqm per year with around 22 million sqm from its own plants and around 12 million sqm through contract manufacturing, Somany said.
