Tile maker Somany Ceramics Ltd plans to open ‘studio showrooms’ in Siliguri and Gangtok by the end of this fiscal.
Studio showrooms are shops that offer modular designs for the premium segment.
In addition to its current studio showrooms in Kochi, Guwahati, Allahabad, Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Gangtok, Bangalore and Mumbai, the Noida-headquartered company on Wednesday launched one more such shop in Kolkata.
“We aim to open five more such showrooms in the eastern region including one each in Siliguri and Gangtok by 2012-13,” Mr Anil K Beejawat, President, Somany Ceramics Ltd, said.
The Rs 1,000-crore company is expecting nearly 25 per cent growth in turnover in 2012-13.
