“We will also be launching a new television commercial from mid-October for Diwali promotions,’’ Kenichiro Hibi, Managing Director, Sony India, said.
New products
The company launched a range of new products for the festive season such as new LCD TVs, 3D viewer, digital cameras and laptops priced between Rs 34,900 and Rs 16.99 lakh.
Talking about its overall sales, Hibi said: “Last fiscal we had clocked about Rs 6,300 crore. In this fiscal, we are expecting 35-40 per cent growth.”
The company has set aside Rs 550 crore as marketing expenditure for the current fiscal.
Sony India is aiming to increase the sales outlets to about 16,000 stores from the current 10,400 centres, he added.
