Riding on the back of higher sales, Speciality Restaurants Ltd that runs Mainland China posted a 40 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 7 crore for the quarter ended December 31, against Rs 5 crore in the same period last year.
Net sales grew by 13 per cent to Rs 58 crore during the period under review. Shares of Speciality Restaurants closed at Rs 173.40, up by 0.23 per cent on the BSE on Wednesday.
In a note to stock exchange, the company recently informed about the closure of its restaurant – “Just Biryani” in Mumbai.
