Infrastructure development firm SPML Infra Ltd has won new orders worth Rs 1,802 crore from Bihar and Rajasthan for various works, including rural electrification and water supply.
“SPML Infra Ltd has won new orders worth Rs 1,802.10 crore from South Bihar Power Distribution of Bihar and Public Health Engineering Department of Rajasthan,” the company said in a statement today.
The two orders received from South Bihar Power Distribution of Bihar are for rural electrification projects in Patna and Gaya districts under Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana.
The three orders bagged from Public Health Engineering Department of Kota, Ajmer and Bharatpur, for water supply schemes will benefit more than 445 villages in Jhalawar, Ajmer and Bharatpur districts.
“Millions of people of these districts will be benefited with drinking water facility once these projects are completed. SPML will also be responsible for the operations and maintenance of these water infrastructure projects for a decade after the commissioning,” the company said.
“In 2013-14, we have received new orders worth Rs 2,886 crore till date and hope to add more in the coming months. We are very happy that with these orders, SPML’s order book position has crossed Rs 6,000 crore mark that gives us the revenue visibility for next three years,” SPML Infra Executive Director Rishabh Sethi said.
SPML Infra has implemented over 400 projects in water supply and management, wastewater treatment and re-use, sewer-line rehabilitation and power development, transmission and distribution in India.
