The Kochi-based Sree Sakthi Paper Mills Ltd, a leading kraft paper manufacturer, has registered 37 per cent growth in its operating profit over the corresponding quarter of fiscal 2012.
The company’s sales recorded a modest growth of 5.2 per cent from Rs 49.54 crore to Rs 52.11 crore. With reduced material cost, the company’s EBIDT (operating profit) surged 36.8 per cent from Rs 4.72 crore to Rs 6.45 crore.
The net profit registered a growth of 18.2 per cent from Rs 1.71 crore to Rs 2.02 crore. The growth has been achieved despite higher interest burden and increased depreciation, a press release said.
