Shirdi Sai Electricals Ltd (SSEL), a transformer manufacturing company based in Kadapa, has announced the inauguration of its new plant for manufacture of energy efficient amorphous metal distribution transformers.
The new plant located near Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh is expected to have a production capacity of 600 transformers a day, product mix from 25 kva to 250 kva, 30 units from 500 kva to 2500 kva and 5 units per day from 5,000 kva to 12,500 kva.
SSEL and Hitachi Metal Ltd Japan have signed a MoU to work together on development of higher capacity transformers to support energy efficient initiative propagated by the Union government. Sanjay Seth, Managing Director of Hitachi Metals India (HMI), a 100 per cent subsidiary of HML, said the association will be mutually beneficial.
N Visweswara Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director of SSEL, outlined the company vision that will enable it to add value to all stake holders -- customers, shareholders, employees, suppliers and society at large.
