Star Bazaar, part of the Trent Hypermarket Ltd., retail arm of the Tata Group, on Monday announced the launch of ‘Healthy Choices’, a segment with selection of health products, across all their stores, to encourage customers lead a healthy lifestyle.
This segment aims to cater to all the daily needs of health-conscious customers at an affordable price, said Jamshed Daboo, CEO, Star Bazaar.
The health conscious segment is growing at about 15% annually. With increasing awareness about health, customers are now opting for sugar free, fat free and less calorie products. “Our ‘Healthy Choices’
includes a range of products that are fresh, free from preservative and natural additives.”
The store would display a variety of healthy food products, ranging from staples to processed foods, bakery products, and beverages, and varieties of wheat, brown rice, dal, flour, pulses and spices in the
staples food category. Processed food includes baked snacks, multigrain biscuits, dried fruits and nuts. Besides, the store also has a range of natural fruit juices without any artificial preservatives or flavours, for those looking to quench their thirst through a healthy option, he said.
Trent had launched the Star hypermarket format in 2004. Currently they are operating a total of 15 hypermarkets across India.
