After completing more than three years in the country, Nasdaq-listed Starbucks Coffee Company will bring its acquired tea brand, Teavana, this year.
Having acquired the speciality tea company in 2012, the Seattle-based company, which has forged an equal JV with Tata Group company, Tata Global Beverages, is expected to unleash more beverage brands.
“Tea is an over $-100 billion category, much bigger than coffee, and we will bring Teavana to India in 2016. At some point of time even stores under Teavana will get launched across Asia,’’ said Howard Schultz while addressing the Tata Group’s leadership team at the `Dialogues for Customer Centricity and Leadership’ at the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai.
