Azah, a start-up that produces high-quality, organic hygiene products for women established in November last year, has received a seed funding of ₹ 1.38 crore ($200,000) from angel investors, the Gurugram-based firm said in a statement on Thursday.
Azah produces an organic cotton sanitary pad that protects women against rashes and itchiness. The produce has already got the US Food and Drug Administration regulator's approval, it said.
"The initial round of funds will be used to invest in R&D, optimise the supply chain and further improve the customer experience through our platform," said its co-founder Shashwat Diesh said.
The firm is expecting a volume growth of 10 times over the next 12 months.
