Tuticorin-based Sterlite Copper has won water efficient unit award during the 9th National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2012 organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre at Jaipur recently. K.S. Parama Kalyani, Associate Manager, Energy and Water and Ram Sandhipam Adhikaray, Associate Manager, Smelter Planning, Sterlite Copper, received the certificate of merit and award from Dr. Purushottam Agarwal, Principal Secretary – Public Health Engineering Department & Ground Water, Government of Rajasthan. The objective of the award is to recognise excellence in water management in industries and facilitate sharing of information by excellent water efficient companies, said the company press release. —
