Stone India, Chinese firm venture

Stone India Ltd, a supplier of railway brake system and other engineering products for the railways, has entered into an equal joint venture agreement with Shenyang Brilliant Elevator Group Co Ltd of China to make a foray into the elevator and escalator market. Meanwhile, the company, as a part of a consortium, has received an order for design, maintenance, supply, installation and commissioning of 97 passenger escalators valued at ₹20.62 crore from Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.
