Strides Arcolab has posted a 39.32 per cent rise in consolidated net profit to Rs 69.51 crore in the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 compared with Rs 49.89 crore in the same period last fiscal.
According to a BSE filing, net sales rose to Rs 581.25 crore from Rs 454.46 crore.
Commenting on the results, Strides Arcolab Vice-Chairman and Group CEO, Mr Arun Kumar, said: “With the USFDA approval for the sterile and oncology plant in place, we will continue our focus on more product launches in key markets.”
On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 14.60 crore during the second quarter, while it had experienced a net loss of 13.58 crore in the same period last fiscal. Net sales stood at Rs 197.68 crore (Rs 118.61 crore).
Meanwhile, the company shares ended the session at Rs 376.20 on the BSE today, up 0.97 per cent from the previous close.
