Consumer healthcare company, Strides Consumer Private Limited (SCPL), has launched an oral Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and topical analgesic cream for joint care.
The NRT product, named as Nixit, is the recommended first-line therapy by WHO and USFDA which helps to quit smoking. At present, the NRT market is pegged at Rs 156 crore and projected to reach Rs 600 crore by 2023. Topical analgesic cream, Jointflext, is fortified with super ingredients glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulphate, Subodh Marwah, CEO, Strides Consumer Private Limited, said said in a press conference held here on Wednesday.
Currently, Bangalore-based SCPL is present in four southern markets- Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu and has distribution set up in three metros- Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai. ``We are planning further expansion to strengthen our position in southern markets by penetrating deeper, covering 50 towns with widened distribution network focused on pharmacies,’’ he said.
