Strong growth in exports and retail business has boosted gold retailer Rajesh Exports Ltd’s profits 5.02 per cent to Rs 112.45 crore in the second quarter this fiscal.
The company’s income from operations has also gone up 16.96 per cent to Rs 6,745.47 crore compared with the same quarter last year. EPS stood at Rs 3.81 compared with Rs 3.62 recorded last year.
The company is planning to undertake expansion of its retail (Shubh Jewellers) presence in the South in the coming quarters.
Rajesh Mehta, Chairman, said, “The company’s order book position as on September 30 was Rs 6,531.90 crore and has developed new collection of jewellery for the upcoming Christmas season for the export markets.”
