Strong revenue boosts Sun TV Q2 net

Sun TV Network has reported a 41 per cent growth in net profit in the second quarter of the current year as compared with the corresponding quarter previously. A strong growth in advertisement and pay channel revenue contributed to the jump in net profit. It reported a net profit of ₹218.38 crore (₹197.28 crore) on a total income of ₹568.09 crore (₹509.02 crore) for the quarter ended September 30, 2015. Advertisement revenue was up 15 per cent to ₹301.37 crore and pay channel revenue grew by 16 per cent at ₹57 crore. On the BSE, the company’s shares closed lower at ₹380.80 against the previous close of ₹385.35.
