Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL)'s Gujarat refinery on Thursday informed that newly appointed executive director, Sudhir Kumar has taken the charge at the company's third largest refinery near Vadodara.
Prior to this assignment, Kumar served as General Manager (Technical) at IOC's Panipat refinery and petrochemicals complex.
A mechanical engineer from the University of Roorkee, Kumar has over three decades of experience in the hydrocarbon industry. He has worked in various positions at Indian Oil’s Mathura, Haldia and Panipat refineries as well as at the Refineries Headquarters and Indian Oil’s Corporate Office.
Kumar takes charge at the Gujarat refinery at a crucial time when it is gearing up to meet petrol & diesel quality improvement, and new fuel norms under Auto Fuel Vision & Policy-2025, for supply of Bharat stage IV and VI fuels. The refinery has a name plate capacity of 13.7 mt per annum (MTPA).
