Sun TV Network Ltd has reported a 15 per cent growth in net profit at ₹214 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2014, against ₹185 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total income went up 10 per cent to ₹575 crore (₹523 crore). The board of directors has declared a third interim dividend of ₹6.75 on a share of ₹5 face value (135 per cent).
With this, the total dividend declared so far for financial 2014-15 is ₹11.25 a share, or 225 per cent (₹9.50 a share, or 190 per cent declared for full year 2013-14). Advertisement revenue for the quarter under consideration went up 7 per cent to ₹291.57 crore. Direct-to-home subscription revenue rose 18 per cent at ₹133 crore.
