Hopes to double revenues over next three years

Sundaram Business Services Ltd (SBS), the BPO subsidiary of Sundaram Finance Ltd, plans to more than double its revenue from Australia over the next three years. It will add up to eight clients in the next 12 months in Australia.

SBS has back-office facilities in Chennai and Mumbai employing close to 1,200 people, including for clients in India and other markets.

Over the last decade, SBS has a client list of 50 in Australia. Around 400 people service the market from its facility in Chennai. SBS offers back-office services for accounting firms, portfolio management services companies, self-managed superannuation funds and mortgage companies.

The company has expanded its services to offer Finance and Accounting back-office services for mid-size companies in Australia. Additionally, this year, the company started back-office services to generate statements of advice for financial planners.

Deals signed

SBS recently signed up deals for back-office work from a Melbourne-based accounting firm and a Brisbane-based mortgage company. It has BPO facilities in Chennai and Mumbai, employing close to 1,200 people.

As part of its expansion plans, SBS is also looking to grow its presence in pension fund accounting and F&A services over the next year, the release said.
