Sushil Maroo resigns from JSPL

Jindal Steel and Power’s Deputy Managing Director Sushil Maroo has resigned from the company after over 12 years stint at the Naveen Jindal-led firm.

Maroo, who has been a member on the company board since 2004, joined JSPL in 2001 and played a key role in shaping the company’s expansion, financial planning and strategic growth.

In a stock exchange filing, JSPL said Maroo has submitted his resignation from Directorship and Deputy Managing Directorship and this would come into effect from the close of business hours of August 30, 2013.

Maroo, who has over 20 years of professional experience, is regarded as a stalwart in the field of strategic planning, business management, financial management, and corporate affairs.

Maroo is also on the board of Jindal Power Ltd (JPL) since 2004 and is serving as the Deputy Managing Director of JPL since 2008.

A chartered accountant by profession, Maroo had also worked with Hindustan Lever, Voltas, Nippon Dendro Ispat and Chambal Fertilisers among others.
