Suven Life Sciences Ltd has obtained two product patents from the US for New Chemical Entities (NCEs) developed for the treatment of disorders associated with neurodegenerative diseases.
The patents have been granted for a class of selective 5-HT compounds discovered by the Hyderabad-based company, according to a release.
The compounds were being developed as therapeutic agents and would be useful in the treatment of cognitive impairment associated with neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease.
