Suzlon Energy Ltd has secured an order from ONGC for the installation of 102.9-MW capacity wind energy turbines. This is the second wind energy project to be established by ONGC after its 51-MW project in Gujarat.
In a filing to the stock exchanges, Suzlon said that the order was for 49 units of 2.1-MW wind turbines and would be commissioned in Rajasthan during the next financial year.
At present, ONGC has a 51-MW wind power generation capacity operating in Gujarat. With the new project, it would have a total wind power installed capacity of 153.9 MW.
