Suzlon Group has won a repeat turnkey order for 100.8 MW from Orange Renewable, an independent power producer (IPP), to be installed in a wind park in Beluguppa, Andhra Pradesh.
The Pune-based wind turbines maker will offer operation and maintenance service for an initial period of 12 years through an integrated service package.
The project will be commissioned starting FY 2016-17.
In a statement, Sudhir Nunes, CEO, Orange said: “This is our second project with Suzlon. This 100.8 MW project adds substantial value to our growing portfolio and expands our geographical presence to southern India states.”
Ishwar Mangal, Chief Sales Officer, Suzlon Group added: “With increasing demand from domestic and international IPPs, the wind energy sector has gained a pivotal role in bolstering the development of India’s energy. S111, our latest product offering has been designed to optimally harness available wind resources, delivering nearly 20 per cent higher energy compared to S97, ensuring higher ROI to customers.”
