Wind turbine maker Suzlon has bagged another turnkey order of 48.30 MW wind power project from Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
Located in the districts of Jaisalmer and Jodhpur in Rajasthan, the project is scheduled for completion by March 2017, a filing to the BSE said.
Suzlon will also provide comprehensive operation and maintenance for an initial period of 10 years.
The project consists of 11 units of S97 120m all‐steel hybrid tower and 12 units of S97 90m tubular tower with rated capacity of 2.1MW each and has the potential to provide power to 26,000 households and reduce 0.10 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per annum.
As on March 2015, Rajasthan’s total wind installations stood at around 3,307MW out of which approximately 1,569MW has been developed by Suzlon.
