Jewellery brand Tanishq is planning to add two lakh sq ft of retail space during the current fiscal.
Addressing presspersons on the sidelines of inauguration of a Tanishq showroom in Mangalore on Wednesday, Mr Bhaskar Bhat, Managing Director of Titan Industries Ltd, said that for Tanishq alone the company would like to add 200,000 sq ft of retail space during the current financial year.
“That is a large number considering that we have about half-a-million sq ft now,” he said.
Mr Bhat said that Tanishq has 138 stores in the country. Of them, 10 are in Karnataka. Mangalore’s showroom, which is spread over 6,000 sq ft of area, is the 10th in the state.
A company release issued on the occasion said that Tanishq offers gold and diamond jewellery in over 60,000 traditional, western and fusion looks.
