Tata Advanced Systems, representing two Tata Group companies in aerospace, which were allocated land near Hyderabad for their new ventures formally handed over cheques towards the cost of the land to the Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC), Mr B.R. Meena, here.
The APIIC had allotted 13.15 acres to Tata Lockheed Martin Aero Structures Ltd for setting up Aerospace Structure Assembly Centre Wings Tax, Empennage for C-130 J Aircraft.
Similarly, 10 acres were given to Tara Aerospace Systems Ltd for manufacture of S-92 civilian helicopter cabin and other aerospace supply (civilian).
Representatives of Tata Advanced Systems handed over the cheques of Rs 4.97 crore and Rs 3.68 crore towards land pertaining to Tata Lockheed Martin and Tara Aerospace in Adibatla village, Ibrahimpatnam of Ranga Reddy district, according to a press release.
