After Delhi, NCR, Patna and Mumbai, Tata Chemicals Ltd on Tuesday announced the launch of its gram flour product, ‘Tata-I Shakti Besan’ in the Gujarat market.
The product will be available in 500 gm packets. It will be called ‘Agmark Grade I Besan’, Ashvini Hiran, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Consumer Products Business, Tata Chemicals Ltd, said here.
Tata, under its I-Shakti brand, already has premium quality unpolished pulses which are currently available in over 24,000 retail outlets across 21 States. With the launch of the new product, Tata Chemicals has entered into the second phase of its consumer product category expansion with the objective to provide quality staples to the Indian homemaker.
Gram flour, popularly known as besan, is widely used in making Indian cuisine as the base ingredient for all puffing and fermented snack preparations and gram pulse is an excellent source of protein, fibre, complex carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
