Tata Chemicals has temporarily closed down two di-ammonium phosphate (DAP) units at Haldia plant in West Bengal due to disruption in supply of phosphoric acid.
“Two units of DAP at Haldia plant have been shut with effect from April 30, 2013 due to disruption in supply of phosphoric acid,” the company said in a filing to the BSE.
Operations are likely to resume in mid-June, it added.
Tata Chemicals, a part of Tata group, is a leading manufacturer of chemicals, fertiliser and food additives. It is the world’s second largest producer of soda ash with manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, Africa and North America.
The company shares were trading down by 1.13 per cent to Rs 327.35 on the BSE.
