Tata Coffee profits have doubled on consolidated basis for the second quarter this fiscal.
Net profits were Rs 36.84 crore compared with Rs 17.59 crore in the same period last year.
Total income from operations was also up 14.71 per cent to Rs 477.70 crore compared with Rs 416.42 crore recorded last year. EPS has risen to Rs 19.72 compared with Rs 9.42 recorded last year.
Commenting on the performance, Hameed Huq, Managing Director, said: “The improved result is from instant coffee operation which continues to show a substantial growth, as also better operating result from coffee plantations coupled with a favourable foreign exchange on its exports.”
Eight O’ Clock Coffee has reflected a major turnaround in its performance compared to the previous year.
