Tata group has opened a new office premises in Yangon, strengthening its presence in Myanmar. The office has been set up by Tata International and will function as a central hub for Tata companies in the country.
It will facilitate growth of Tata companies by furthering their existing capabilities and exploring new opportunities across sectors such as agro, power, infrastructure, renewable energy, hospitality, tourism and consumer products.
“Myanmar plays a significant role in a number of our group companies’ international portfolio, and we hope to be able to further capitalise on the potential opportunities present in the region,” said Madhu Kannan, Member, Group Executive Council and Group Head for Business Development and Public Affairs at Tata Sons.
Tata Sons is the holding company for all the Tata group firms.
Tata companies in Myanmar include Tata International, Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, Tata Power, Titan Company and Tata Consultancy Services.
