Tata Motors group global sales, including Jaguar Land Rover, were 94,055 vehicles in June 2012, higher by six per cent over June 2011. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 2,76,524, higher by seven per cent compared to the corresponding period in 2011-12.Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover stood at 28,215 units, up by 39 per cent. However, Jaguar sales for the month were lower by five per cent at 3,829 vehicles. The UK auto major is owned by Tata Motors.
Meanwhile, the company has notched up global sales of all commercial vehicles. Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range were at 47,896, a growth of six per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were, however, flat at 1,30,932 vehicles.
Global sales of all passenger vehicles were at 46,159 in June, higher by seven per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were 145,592 vehicles, up by 12 per cent.
Global sales of Tata passenger vehicles were at 17,944, down 21 per cent. Cumulative sales for the fiscal were at 62,140 vehicles, down eight per cent.
Tata Motors shares were down by 2.8 per cent on July 16.
