Tata Motors announced on Friday a growth of nine per cent in the global group sales in March at 1.10 lakh units. Global sales for 2010-2011 fiscal were up 24 per cent at 1.08 million units.
The cumulative numbers include sales of the Jaguar Land Rover brand, besides Tata passenger and commercial vehicles.
Global sales of all commercial vehicles — Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range — rose 19 per cent to 56,814 units in the month. Cumulative sales for the fiscal are 5.12 lakh units, a growth of 24 per cent.
Sales of all passenger vehicles were at 53,971 units in March, while the cumulative sales for the fiscal were at 5.68 lakh units, a growth of 24 per cent. Global sales of Jaguar Land Rover in the month were 24,101 vehicles, higher by 2 per cent, while cumulative sales of the twin premium brands for the fiscal were at 2.41 lakh units, higher by 25 per cent.
