Tata Motors has launched the Tata Manza Club Class sedan in both petrol and diesel versions.
“With the Tata Manza Club Class, we are once again the first to introduce features never seen in its class,” Tata Motors Managing Director Karl Slym said.
The price of the petrol (Safire) version starts from Rs 5.70 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and the diesel (Quadrajet) range from Rs 6.49 lakh.
The diesel version is certified to give a mileage of 21.02 km per litre and the petrol a mileage of 13.7 km per litre.
The safety features include a collapsible steering column, anti-lock braking system and dual frontal airbags amongst others. Instead of the usual red line on the tachometer, the Critical Rev Indicator needle turns red when the engine crosses a critical RPM. The engine immobiliser and the central locking feature are conveniences for additional security.
The car is available in six colours — Infinity Black (new), Tyrian Wine, Laser Red, Castle Grey, Dew White and Jet Silver — and four trim levels — LS, LX, VX, EX and EXL (leather trim).
The company is also lining up dedicated managers to attend to Manza buyers.
