Tata Motors today reported 7 per cent rise in total sales at 36,205 vehicles in April compared with 33,962 units in the same period last year.
Domestic sales of Tata Motors’ commercial and passenger vehicles grew by 5 per cent at 32,419 units against 30,740 units in April 2014, Tata Motors said in a BSE filing.
Sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market in April stood at 10,230 units, up 37 per cent from 7,441 units in April 2014.
In the commercial vehicles segment, domestic sales were 22,189 units during the month down 5 per cent from year-ago period, it added.
Exports during the month stood at 3,786 units, up 18 per cent against 3,222 units in the year-ago month.
