Tata Power has generated 2,670 million units (MUs) in Q4 FY13-14 and 13,183 MUs in FY13-14.
The company, together with its subsidiaries and jointly controlled entities, has an installed gross generation capacity of 8,585 MW, including thermal power (coal, gas and oil), hydroelectric power, renewable energy (wind and solar PV) and waste heat recovery.
According to a company statement, Tata Power’s subsidiaries Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd and Maithon Power Ltd have also contributed significantly after achieving full operations, it said.
Tata Power’s Hydro, Haldia, Maithon and Mundra power plants generated 1,597 MUs, 942 MUs, 6,328 MUs and 23,928 MUs, respectively.
Anil Sardana, Managing Director, Tata Power, said: "Tata Power's gross generation has touched 8,585 MW, reinforcing its position as the largest integrated power company in India. We will continue to focus on generating power through clean and energy sources.''
Tata Power has recently commissioned a 25 MW solar photovoltaic power project, through its subsidiary, Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. The solar plant is located at Palaswadi village in Satara district, Maharashtra, and is expected to generate approximately 46 MUs per year.
Tata Power is also in the process of executing a number of power plant projects, which upon completion, are expected to increase the company’s overall generation capacity by 849.2 MW.
