Tata Power said it has logged 61 per cent higher generation from its power plants at 22,738 million units in the first six months of this fiscal compared with 14,029 mu in the same period of last year. The total generation capacity of Tata Power is 8,521 MW from thermal (coal, gas and oil), hydroelectric, renewable energy (wind and solar) and waste heat recovery. The 4,000-MW Mundra plant generated 11,574 mu and the 1,050-MW Maithon plant generated 2,930 mu. Generation from clean energy sources total 1,439 mu for the half year.
