Tata Power said it is developing a 28.8-MW solar plant at Palaswadi in Satara district, Maharashtra. The work will be executed by its wholly-owned subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy. The project is expected to be commissioned by December. Tata Power - Distribution, the distribution arm of Tata Power, has signed a power purchase agreement for a 25-year period, to meet its solar renewable purchase obligations. Anil Sardana, Managing Director, said: “Tata Power is committed to generating 20-25 per cent of its total generation capacity from clean energy sources.”
