Tata Starbucks Ltd, the 50:50 joint venture between Starbucks Coffee Company and Tata Global Beverages Ltd, today said it will open its Pune outlet on Sunday.
With this, Tata Starbucks’ total store count stands at 20.
It has outlets in Mumbai and Delhi NCR.
Avani Davda, CEO of Tata Starbucks Ltd said: “We are thrilled to open doors to our first store in Pune and extend the unique Starbucks Experience to more customers in India.”
The opening of the new store in Koregaon Park in Pune is part of the company’s ongoing expansion in India, where it plans to open 50 outlets this year. The JV partners have earmarked an investment of Rs 400 crore for the purpose.
“We remain committed to the India market and will continue to work thoughtfully to open stores in locations where more and more customers can enjoy an enriching and elevated coffee experience,” Davda added.
Starbucks entered the Indian market in October 2012 and currently operates 17 outlets across the country.
