Tenet Diagnostics mulling ₹35-crore expansion

Tenet MedCorp Private Ltd is planning to invest ₹35 crore over next two years in expansion of its flagship Tenet Diagnostics Centres.

This was disclosed by Suresh Devineni, Chairman, Tenet MedCorp, at a press conference here on Thursday.

The Hyderabad-based venture now has nine centres in Hyderabad and Bengaluru. “We will add four centres each in Hyderabad and Bengaluru as part of expansion,” Devineni said.

So far, Tenet MedCorp had invested ₹35 crore and is earning ₹3 crore revenue per month. It is expecting break even in three years.

“We are going to build an integrated facility with advanced facilities including a stem cell storage facility,” he said.

According to unconfirmed industry estimates, diagnostic testing business is estimated over ₹2,000 crore. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are a major players over one-third of this business. Nearly 85 per cent of this is in the un-organised sector.
