Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd reported a 51 per cent higher PAT in Q2 at Rs 29.42 crore against Rs 19.43 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The former K.K. Birla group outfit and now part of the Adventz group, Texmaco Rail said that during the July-Sept quarter it executed export orders worth Rs 42 crore. The company’s Q2 gross sales figure was up 25 per cent at Rs 302.13 crore.
Its hydro-mechanical division’s current order book stands at Rs 398 crore.
Texmaco Rail said construction work for its EMU coach manufacturing project in West Bengal was slated to be complete by March.
Texmaco Rail also said that the production outfit of its 50:50 joint venture with Australian firm UGL Rail was likely to be commissioned later this month. The joint venture is for manufacturing locomotives and freight cars.
