Thai envoy visits NRL head office

The Thai Ambassador in India, Mr Pisan Manawapat, today visited the Numaligarh Refinery Ltd (NRL) corporate office here as part of his trip to the region for exploring investment opportunities in Assam and the North-East.

A detailed presentation on various facets of NRL was made by the refinery officials followed by the screening of a corporate film, according to a press release issued by NRL.

Deliberations on possible areas of collaboration in the oil sector were held where inputs were exchanged between the Thai embassy officials and the NRL delegation, led by the General Manager (Marketing), Mr A.K. Bhattacharya.

Mr Manawapat said that he was delighted to visit NRL and was highly impressed by its standards, particularly its corporate social responsibility (CSR), which has made immense contribution to the people.

“We hope NRL will continue to play a substantive role in enhancing connectivity between North-East India, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Thailand,” he added.

Mr Manawapat was accompanied by the Minister Consular at Royal Thai Embassy in New Delhi, Mr Sansirit Tangulrat, and the First Secretary, Royal Thai Embassy, Mr Parinthorn Apimyanunt.
